Free-blast conversion kit
Convert the Pressure Base for conventional open blasting when the recovery head cannot maintain contact with the surface.
This makes the machine considerably more versatile when working on irregular components, complex shapes or larger areas.
Pneumatic abrasive control
Upgrade to pneumatic abrasive regulation for greater control over the quantity of abrasive entering the blast stream.
Useful where precise abrasive delivery and consistent blasting performance are important.
Pneumatic tank vibrator
A pneumatic vibrator can be added to the blast pot to improve the flow of fine abrasives and help prevent media bridging inside the tank.
Double-grip control handle
An optional two-handed control handle makes the recovery gun easier to support and manoeuvre, particularly when working for longer periods or blasting vertical surfaces.
Air drying & moisture control
Clean, dry compressed air is important for reliable abrasive flow.
CoolBlast can supply a suitable moisture separator or refrigerated air dryer to reduce moisture entering the blast pot and recovery system.
Compressor packages
Need the air to power it?
CoolBlast can match the Pressure Base with a correctly sized portable petrol, diesel or electric compressor based on your required blasting pressure and duty cycle.
PPE & operator protection
We can supply suitable blasting PPE and respiratory protection based on the application and abrasive being used.
Blasting abrasives
We can recommend suitable abrasive based on the material you're treating, the coating being removed and the surface finish required.
The recovery system allows suitable reusable abrasives to be separated from dust and returned to the blasting process.

Weld cleaning – remove oxidation, discoloration and contamination from welds and surrounding metal
Metal fabrication – locally remove rust, corrosion, coatings and contamination from steel components
Industrial maintenance – treat specific areas of machinery and equipment without open blasting the complete component
Paint & coating removal – strip coatings from targeted areas while recovering abrasive and debris
Stainless steel – controlled cleaning and finishing of suitable stainless steel components and welds
Stone & masonry – controlled cleaning of stone, marble, granite and architectural features
Restoration – remove coatings and contamination from selected areas while limiting abrasive spread
Marine applications – targeted paint, corrosion and coating removal where conventional open blasting is impractical
Glass & decorative work – controlled blasting, lettering and decorative surface treatment
Wood – controlled removal of coatings and surface contamination from suitable timber
Mechanical components – blasting of cylinders and machined components following manufacturing or repair
Workshop blasting – ideal where blasting needs to take place without covering the surrounding workshop in abrasive

The Pressure Base can operate with a range of blasting media. The best abrasive will depend on the surface, contamination being removed and the finish required.
Aluminium oxide
A hard, aggressive and reusable abrasive ideal for rust removal, paint stripping, corrosion removal and preparing steel for recoating.
A good general choice where faster material removal is required.
Glass bead
A less aggressive reusable abrasive suited to cleaning, finishing and producing a smooth satin finish on metals including aluminium and stainless steel.
Ideal where you want to clean the surface without creating a heavily etched profile.
Garnet
A versatile mineral abrasive suitable for paint, rust and coating removal from steel and other hard surfaces.
Provides good cutting performance while producing less dust than some traditional blasting media.
Vegetable-based media
A softer blasting media suited to delicate cleaning, restoration and removing coatings where damage to the underlying surface needs to be minimised.
Particularly useful on timber and other sensitive materials.
